Best For: Children navigating severe interfering behaviors (such as aggression or self-injury) where traditional behavioral interventions may have felt too rigid or distressing.
Our Core Framework: We begin with a trauma-informed, safe Practical Functional Assessment (PFA) to understand the why behind a behavior without escalating the child and then begin with Skills Based Treatment (SBT).
The Balance of "My Way" & "No": We teach children how to advocate for their needs, and then gently guide them on how to tolerate delays, transitions, and the word "no" in a fully supported environment.
Key Focus Areas:
Functional Communication Training (FCT) to replace challenging behavior with clear communication.
Building tolerance to disappointment, changes in routine, and demands.
Expanding cooperation with daily living and educational tasks.
